Welcome to The Rutledge Room, an intimate venue located at 207 Rutledge Avenue, in the heart of the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood of Charleston, South Carolina. The historic details, including original ceiling tiles and exposed brick, blend brilliantly with the site’s modern finishes, making it the perfect backdrop for your next social, wedding, anniversary or corporate event.
207 Rutledge Avenue has had the tradition of hospitality instilled in its foundation since its building in 1855. We plan to carry that tradition through our operations, partnerships and event executions. The three unique spaces of The Rutledge Room include an entry room, formal dining room and enclosed private piazza – each intimate enough for small gatherings, yet together robust enough leave a lasting impression.
With just over 3,000 feet of total event space, The Rutledge Room has been outfitted with extensive A/V features to maximize the use of the venue and streamline set up for outside talent and performers.

The Rutledge Rooms serves as the flagship event venue for Hamby Catering & Events, Charleston’s oldest owned and operated caterer, serving the Holy City since 1979. To round out the space’s offerings is its partnership with Stay Duvet, the city’s premier accommodation curators.
